RFW Vision Statement
We welcome you to Ragdoll Fanciers Worldwide, a TICA Club.
This club is geared toward helping its breeder members by providing information about cattery management, animal husbandry, evaluation of your cats, showing your Ragdolls, birthing and raising kittens, vaccination protocols, early spay/neuter programs and many other topics.
This club will focus considerable efforts on the health and welfare of cats everywhere, both pedigreed and non-pedigreed. After all, it is a love of cats in general and the Ragdoll specifically that is the common thread between us. We hope to promote and support feline rescue groups all across the world by donating our resources to help these organizations as much as possible.
This Club is planning to fill needs and promote activities that are not the focus of the existing Ragdoll clubs. The club plans regular additions to this website to share information about Ragdolls and general feline issues. Our ideas for future features include:
§ information about current health issues facing breeders and cat owners everywhere
§ the "Ragdoll Flophouse" with pictures of Ragdolls at their floppy best
§ an "Information Booth" where members can submit questions about anything from birthing kittens to showing their cats
We intend to be a club FOR the members, RUN BY the members. All permanent officer positions will truly be elected positions with elections held only after a proper nomination and voting period. We welcome members from all walks of the "Ragdoll Life" including those who already belong to other Ragdoll clubs.
We are always open for you to let us know what you want to see happen within and be provided by the club. What would help you be a better breeder? What do our pet owners want to see? How can we best promote and care for the Ragdoll breed? What other topics or featured sections would you like to see added to the website? This is your chance to help us create a great club that benefits everyone.
Lastly, are you willing to help us by volunteering your talents? Please let us know if you would be willing to write an article for the website, help coordinate or report on local rescue efforts, help create a "new member" packet for those who choose to join this club after the initial membership period, or anything else that would get the ball rolling.
Starting this club will take considerable efforts by everyone who wants to see it succeed. We hope you will join us in this endeavor and help create a club as wonderful as the breed we all love.
